This is my POW for "Extended Seeing". Its interesting because this photo required less editing in apps and yielded some of the best results out of all the photos in this weeks assignment. This photo was taken on an iPhone 5 with the camera app. I only used the VSCOcam app to add a filter but even then I took the levels down with the preset filter. I also upped the contrast levels to show more of a harsh difference between the sky and the rooftop. When we saw the sky we immediately knew we had to take photos. (Note: This photo is of the Boston skyline not Philadelphia). I really just wanted to bring the sky's colors out against the cityscape and the contrast of our dark figures. I didn't really think this one too far through I just knew that the sky needed to be captured and I needed to showcase the blues and the pinks. One thing that surprised me was the reflection of the sky on the actual rooftop that you can see peeking through behind the figures. That was unexpected. Again, I did less to this photo than I did for any other in the set which is cool that I could capture something interesting enough to voted for my POW. That just goes to show that it's not always about what crazy apps you use.
